Owner/Coach
Christy is the Head Coach and Co-Owner of CrossFit Salty North, a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer, and a passionate advocate for health at every stage of life. With over a decade of CrossFit experience, she’s living proof that age is just a number—feeling stronger and healthier now than she did in her 20's (20 yrs ago).
Outside the gym, she works as a nurse practitioner specializing in Endocrinology and Diabetes management, blending her deep medical expertise with a practical, compassionate approach to fitness and nutrition.
Her mission? To create a gym where people of all physical abilities feel safe, supported, and empowered to improve their health through movement and nutrition. Whether you’re just getting started or years into your fitness journey, she believes everyone deserves a place to grow stronger—physically and mentally.
CoachChristy also loves helping members improve their nutrition habits, whether that means losing weight, building muscle, or simply feeling better through balanced, sustainable choices.

Gabe Pierce, Owner and CrossFit level 1 coach here at Salty
North. He recently retired Coast Guard, currently rehabbing two knee replacements! If he can get in here you can to! 8 years CrossFit experience, he loves going and playing outdoors with my family from hiking, camping, fishing, hunting and everything in between! CrossFit keeps me able to do it all.

My focus is on providing a safe, inclusive space for everyone to thrive, whether you're new to fitness or an experienced athlete. Through hard work, consistency, and determination, I believe anyone can unlock their potential and achieve their fitness goals.

Josey Shaw
Coach
Josey is a CrossFit Level 1 coach with over 3 years of experience and a passion for helping others build stronger, healthier lives—both inside and outside the gym. By day, he serves the community as a 911 paramedic and EMS instructor, combining his deep knowledge of health and medicine with a calm, supportive presence.
Josey found CrossFit in 2022 after making the decision to actively change his lifestyle. “I had tried so many things to improve my health, but nothing stuck—until a friend brought me to a CrossFit class. That day changed everything.”
Since then, CrossFit has been more than just workouts—it’s been a source of transformation, purpose, and community. After overcoming obesity and making consistent gains in strength and fitness, Josey is now focused on giving back. His goal as a coach is to create a safe, inclusive space where everyone feels welcome, supported, and encouraged to have fun while working hard.
